This is a short privacy policy for spiritualrealities.co. It tells you, in plain terms, what we do with your personal information.
Who we are
This website is run by Spiritual Realities (the Academy). If you have any question about your information, or want to use your rights, email us at admin@spiritualrealities.co.
What we collect and why
Your account and purchases. When you join or buy something, we collect your name, email address and the details of what you bought. Your account is a WordPress account. We use this to set up your login, give you access to what you have paid for, and keep proper records.
Payments. Purchases are made through Stripe and PayPal. Your payments are processed by them. We keep a record that a payment happened, such as the amount, date and method.
The community. Our community runs on FluentCommunity. If you join, we hold your profile and what you post or comment, so that we can run the community you signed up to. Other members can see what you share in the spaces you share with them, so please think before posting anything personal.
Emails. We use FluentCRM and Emailit to manage contacts and send email. We email you about your account and purchases. We send newsletters only if you have signed up for them, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Videos. Our teaching videos are hosted by Bunny.net.
Security records. Our security software (Wordfence) records failed login attempts, including the IP address, to protect the site from attacks.
Who we share it with
We share information with the services that help us run the site: Stripe and PayPal (payments), Bunny.net (video), and our email and hosting providers. We may also share information where the law requires it. We do not sell your personal information.
Faith and your privacy
Joining a faith-based community can reveal something about your religious beliefs. We use that only to run the community and the teaching you have joined, and we never sell it or share it for marketing.
How long we keep it
We keep your information only for as long as we need it. We keep accounting records for as long as the law requires, which is usually six years.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- be told how we use your information;
- see the information we hold about you;
- have anything wrong or incomplete corrected;
- ask us to delete it, in many situations;
- ask us to restrict how we use it;
- ask for a copy in a usable format, where this applies;
- object to certain uses, including direct marketing at any time.
To use any of these rights, email admin@spiritualrealities.co. We may need to check it is you, and we will normally reply within one month.
Complaints
We would like the chance to put things right first, so please contact us. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator: ico.org.uk, telephone 0303 123 1113.
